Chevis Zhou

I'm a design engineer who bridges design and code — shipping interfaces that feel as good as they look.

I work end to end: from research and interaction design through to production React and TypeScript. My background spans product design, psychology, and engineering, which lets me move fluidly between the why, the what, and the how of a product.

I care about systems that scale, motion that earns its place, and details that hold up under real use.

My path here wasn't linear: a B.Eng in Microelectronics, an MA in Human Factors, and now an MS in Information Studies — each one sharpened a different lens on how people and systems actually work. I spent years as a designer before going hands-on with code, so I tend to think in interfaces first and reach for the right implementation second.

Outside client work I show up locally — ADPList meetups, AGSA gatherings, and design events like Usabilathon around the Washington DC metro.
